Got myself an old beast

Hi, I've recently bought an old 2005 E220 estate. After several new cars on PCP, I decided I didn't want to pay dead money for car that now just spending most of time parked on the driveway.

Agree on the PCP though. We worked out that what MrsLK has paid in three years for her Cooper S almost covers the purchase and running costs of all my three!

I'm sure I will need some advice soon. I've already had to replace the front coil springs when one mysteriously broke whilst the car was just sitting on the drive. Whilst doing that job I noticed the discs were a warped, so they'll be next.

And on the subject of "Old", I can honestly say that I have not owned a car newer than 2003, and that was a 2003 W203 C180K SE Coupe. The oldest was a 1964 (B Reg Suffix) Austin Mini 850. It was already 12 years old when I bought it for £15.00 Sold it for a tenner a few months later!
