a bit of deduction required

take one of your old alloy bolts off a wheel. You should be able to see how much thread it sticks into the hub from the dirt ditribution on the bolt for instance, 10mm of thread is "dirty" . Slot it into the new wheel and see how much sticks out at the hub side, . Measure it if you can, and there's the difference. Assuming it sticks out at all that is.

in that case

if these are standard MB alloys, you'll just need alloy wheel bolts from MB. I'll measure one of my spares later on and let you know the dimensions. You could quote the part no at your dealer and see what they can do as well. They are definitely longer in the shank than the steel wheels.
Have you five or four? If you are keeping a steel spare, wire five short bolts to it for wheel-changing purposes.

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Most wheel have 18mm sticking out of the rear when the bolt is pushed through the hole.
The fronts are not too fussy, but the rear bolts will get caught in the brake shoes if too long.

Some shops sell Chrome ones for £1 each, MB charge £1.80 for bolts that will rust within a few weeks

Standard bolts for the w202

with CLK type wheels are A 000 990 10 07 and come in at 40 mm shank ( 20 mm 0f which threaded. Overall from tip to toe 60 mm. These will fit most 12.5mm hole hubs, but some wheels are very deep and have longer portions from the shoulder to the head. As I recall, the w124 was one of these, as the standard 124 alloys had a very deep design to them.
The depth of the head on bolt I have just measured ( not a 124) is 20mm.

One other point....make sure the bolts seats are correctly shaped so they locate properly in the alloys when they are tightened up. The most common ones have a 60 degree taper seats but I know you also get radius (curved) seats as well.

Click on this link http://www.priracing.com/section.php/83/1/wheel-bolts and you should be able to find something suitable if the ones off ebay are incorrect.

Hope this helps
