Green Rubber Help Please

(2011 S-Class W221 S350L)
I've noticed that the inside rubbers (between door and window) are very green (algae?). These rubbers are quite firmly fitted against the windows and I don't want to try to prise them away to get access to the inner side to clean them because I'm concerned I may cause damage. Can anyone suggest an easy way for me to bring them back to black? Cheers.

Got some advice from the other forum:

I wound the window all the way then used a cloth on the end of a toothbrush soaked in white vinegar. Worked a treat!

That’s brilliant news, I assume the vinegar hasn’t dulled the rubbers in any way?

No it hasn't dulled it at all. I'm going to treat all the window rubber to Gummi Pflege today to treat and protect them. Already done pana roof and all other Rubbers last week.

Ive cured mine on various cars over the years with an old credit card (not in the usual way...) - just run it along the strip when dry and it powders off. Its flexible and designed to move a bit.
