grove mill leather chamois- how to clean

I cant recommend Grove Mill Leather Chamois enough. Gorgeous New Zealand sheep skin. The best there is.....but how do you clean a chamois that has got a bit dirty? Any tips/advice? You cant use detergent etc...any safe cleaning products you know about?? :???:

I allways used to wash my Chamois Leathers in warm soapy ( Fairy washing up liquid) water and rinse werll in lukewarm water, never did them any harm, not sure what my valeter uses nowadays.

I'm the same, Fairy liquid in warm water, comes up a treat.

I don't use the washing up liquid, I use the green fairy soap to wash the leather. Although in this weather I don't even attempt to dry the car.
