the last 4 weeks ive been fighting a loosing battle with my s class ( 140 model ).
so far i had the tracking done twice,2 new tyres on the front, rotated the wheels, had them all ballanced, fitted new track rod ends, put new discs on( which seem to be ringing all the time, but so did the old ones ?)most of the susspension is new, new dampers new anti roll bushes, new wheel bearings
( these i know may need adjustment, any one know how to do it ?).
the only thing left is for me to beat it with a stick like basil faulty.
any thoughts????????

I can just about guarantee beating with a stick won't cure the problem neilairman!! However, after all the work you've had done, if I were you I'd have the wheel balance rechecked at a different place and preferably ON the car. Not unknown for a balancing machine to have an error.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Check engine mounts and steering damper.
brand new damper, brand new engine mounts, brand new track rod ends, brand new discs, brand new bearings.
did a bit of enquiring, car was in a crash, likley hub flanges slightly bent by impact,
net result cut my losses and bought a e230 ( w210 ) estate.
thanks for reply
