Hack COMMAND

I have a 2002 S600, with the COMMAND System (including SatNav and TV). Could someone please answer the following...

• Is it possible to de-restrict the speed limit for viewing the TV?
• If the Navigation CD could be extracted to my PC, could I change the voices used for SatNav guidance, and then re-write a modified CD?

The early version of Tv could have the parameter's changed for Tv viewing but MB have now changed the software in DAS. If you can get an early version of das loaded onto a star machine it should still be possible. As for changing the voice Ill get a Navi disc and have a look but Im not sure the voice files are on the disc,

As of around 6/2001 the dealer's star diagnosis computer can no longer turn off all the interlocks that prevent tv watching - the interlocks are
park position selected
handbrake on/off
~2kmh
~10kmh

I think its the 2kmh one that doesnt turn off even if the dealer selects "off"

However, the COMAND unit still supports having its interlocks turned off, and if you have understand Linux, want to download some software I wrote and understand bits and bytes, it is possible to do !
