Handbrake foot pedal

Just purchased my e class 65 plate and noticed that the handbake foot pedal does not always release its self sometimes its juders while rising up and others times I have to using my foot to release it anyone with any suggestions on the issue

Recently purchased a e class 63 estate 2015 model the motorised hand brake foot pedal is does not release all the time sometimes it juders on the way up other times I have to use my foot to release it any ideas on the issue

Probably just needs a bit of lube.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- 1.2 vauxhall Corsa 2021 ,orange with a black roof. .
I was banned from the ford Kuga forum for Spamming . :).

As above . Work the mechanism and spray a lubricant on anything that moves , looks above the pedals , you'll see what's what.

If that fails ,have the rear shoes nipped up slightly.

Had mine replaced recently. Common fault.

I suspect it's because most people don't use it.
Just leave it in park and it seizes up over time.

Common fault, just hook up the pedal with your foot. Have been doing this for years on 05 CLK
