Hard wire dash cam

As anyone hard wire a dash cam in to a e220 merc , ?

Probably loads have m8. Pull the cover off the side at the end of the dash and see if you have fuses . Check passenger and drivers side. If not youll have to find a live feed and an earth.

Easy enough, just take a feed from the back of the 12v socket

Mercs have more than 1 fuse box. I gave you 2 . Good luck.

I find the best way of fitting a dash cam professionally is with a credit card. Just take it and pay someone else to do it properly! Got my front and rear dash cams (Thinkware models) supplied and installed for £400. Very professional job and warranty included

but it costs just a few quid to tap into an existing fuse circuit or use the provided 12 volt supplies on the side of a SAM

Think I paid £8 for my hard wire kit . Piggy backs included.

I have the hard wire kit , just wasn't sure the easiest way to wire it in , either in to fuse box or 12v socket, in the fuse box the wire piggy backs the fuse so il see how it goes

If you follow the loom from your engine comp fuse box towards the bulkhead you'll find a small loom disappearing through a rubber grommet in the bulkhead, push a thin stiff stick through the grommet and you will be able to fish it from the open end cap of the RHS of the dash where you will be able to stash the PSU then run your power lead around the window trim.
