Hard wire Radar Detector

Hi, I want to hard wire my Radar Detector instead of plugging it into the Cig lighter. Anyone done this in a SLK 230? if so could you suggest best way to do it.

Run a wire to the back of the cig lighter. That way's its still on the accessory circuit. Its also usualy the easiest electrical component to access.
