Hard wiring /cigar lighter

Hi
I’ve just purchased 17, C220 sport , I’m wanting to put some footwell lights in , the ones I’ve seen plug into the cigar lighter , can anyone advise if it is possible to hard wire them please ?

I have footwell lights too and would love to know if they can be hard wired too?

Sold - 2021 CLA 35 Premium.
I looked at this thread thinking it was about hardwiring a dashcam.
In my previous cars I used to leave it plugged into the 12V outlet, but my CLA has a that covered by a long sliding door that looks much neater shut.

what's the connection to the actual lights? Does it use a USB to micro USB lead in the ciggy socket? You could find a dash cam hard wire kit that uses the appropriate micro USB plug and wire it into a suitable fuse using a piggy back fuse carrier (make sure you get the right size fuse carrier) or as I have with my dash cam, use one of these clicky (I know it's referred to as Smart, but my Merc has the same fuse ways on the side of a fuse/relay box
