Has anyone fitted an Android screen to a W212 Jap import?

I recently received an Android screen to fit my ntg4.5 W212. While the Android part of it works, it will not communicate with NTG. Some posts I have read about japanese Command systems seem to imply there are a number of differences and I am wondering if it is that or the seller sent the wrong harness...

So has anyone fitted one to a Japanese model and was it a success or failure please?

Assuming you are in the UK.
People avoid Japanese imports because the wiring/harness are different, let alone radio frequencies etc .
Doesn't answer your question, but I am sure you researched the issue before taking the dive.
