Even though most outdoor car covers perform the key function of protecting your vehicle from elements, some believe they make cars ‘sweat’ and scuff paintwork, which were the triggers for the development of a new product from Carcovershop that aims to address these objections.
Ultima4 is manufactured using a four-layer waterproof fabric. The neoprene-style material incorporates a one-way breathable membrane, which draws water away from bodywork into the atmosphere, enabling it used on wet cars too, while the cover’s integral soft fleece lining protects paintwork.
The lining also helps provide physical protection to delicate surfaces, such as spoilers, wing mirrors and sharp edges, from damage and knocks, while the cover’s design also incorporates a degree of stretch, allowing it to be easily fitted to the vehicle and helping it stay in place. Two clip-in underbody straps are included for additional security, if required.
Available in black and manufactured in 15 different sizes to suit compact cars, family hatchbacks and luxury saloons to large SUVs and 4x4s, Ultima4 prices start at £254 including VAT and can be ordered online at carcovershop.co.uk or by calling 01780 654088.
The company’s MD, Mark Wibberley, explained: “Our new Ultima4 cover is all about protection. Protection for paintwork and protection from the weather. We spent a considerable amount of time and effort evaluating different materials and combinations to ensure the final product meets our specification and demanding customer expectations. If anyone has resisted using a car cover because of concerns about paintwork damage, I’d urge them to reconsider and take a look at this new option.”
