has my key lost connection

This is baffling me, car was running fine, battery went flat and replaced but key did nothing. Tried the youtube reset and can actually unlock and lock the car but still nothing in the ignition. Does my key need resetting ? If i hold certain buttons in sequence the car will start but turn off same again but fromt lights come on and the top relay in the boot keeps clicking, please somebody help me.

Locking and unlocking is RF or IR, starting is by an inductive loop in the steering binnacle and a passive chip in the key.
How many keys have you got?

just 1 key battery works and getting ir through camera

I couldn't unlock or lock but now can when i insert the key nothing press lock and unlock twice with key in ignition it starts
