Put your vin in 7zap to make sure you have no dpf.
Or call a merc dealer and ask.

Around that time of your car, i believe dpf were just taking off and possibly an optional extra.

You might aswell use the later lower ash oil as it's higher performing oil .

Reduced ZDDP anti wear is about having enough sacrificial zinc for the drain period .

Reduced can always be offset with friction modifiers and a better oil basestock .

Too much zinc can be detrimental , often a fine balance of ingredients .

I take this further and use a VW spec oil with a dual petrol and low ash diesel spec .

Pretty sure a 2002 and 2005 CLK is too early for a DPF, I seem to recall the DPF was an optional extra by 2007 though.

My 2005 270 clk doesn't have DPF as that was one thing I didnt want when I bought a diesel. I previously had a citroen with DPF what a nightmare,as wife did fairly short runs always in limp mode or garage !! Mind you it was a french car lol

If the inside of the exhaust is clean you have a dpf , if it looks like the dirtiest darkest hole the human eye can gaze upon then you don’t have a dpf
