B Class 2011
I failed my MOT on my B Class 2011 plate with the comment that "headlamp levelling device inoperative offiside (4.1.5(a)).

Since the MOT place did not have the parts, I bought the Headlight Height Level Sensor A0105427717 but the garage said that this would not fit my car whereas I would need headlamp leveling adjuster which is inside the headlamp. Tried a few retailers and eBay who said that the above item is what I need. The garage insists that the item I bought is wrong (as it would fit near the axle not the headlamp) but they cannot give me details of part number, etc.

Any help or suggestion (or a part number) would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum:)

First off, is your B class a W246 model or the earlier W245.
2011 was the changeover year.
The first 6 numbers of your Vin# determine the model (eg 246.207)

There are many different Part numbers and there are different ones for Xenon lights. Also different Part numbers for left and right light, so make sure you know which one is needed.
To ensure you get exactly the correct Part for your car, make a note of the full 17 digit Vin# found in the V5, the drivers door frame sticker or the bottom passenger side windscreen decal. Take the Vin# to your local main dealer and they will supply or order the correct Part you need.
The garage is correct, the part you need fits inside the headlight.
Sorry I can't be more specific but without the full Vin# I can't look up the correct part you need. And you'll still need to get it from the main dealer.
