Headlamp Replacement E220d AMG Estate

Morning All
Hit a pigeon and need to replace Headlamp
Basic 2016 registered 2017 estate lamp stamped Led High
Performance - not directional or multi beam.
Car 3 years old and getting £300 variation in replacement cost.
Some say need SCN coding others say they are plug and play.
My local body shop says they are plug and play.

Advice welcome- been furloughed so cost sensitive at the mo

Try Dronsfield / EBay for a s/h unit, may be easier if you can get a part number for it?

Thanks- the concern is I buy one and then get stuck n the "Sorry Mate cant code it co we didn't fit it" circle.

What about the pigeon.

Anway are you anndy enough to get the old unit out. Do that.
There will be a MB part number on the back.
Ebay then becomes your friend.
Do not buy an aftermarket light even if they are cheap as chips, it will be obvious, and you will be ****ed.

Once its refitted you will know if it needs coding to the car BUT you will have the right light.

If it needs coding, then I would take a trip to a dealers or indy and say your lights just packed up. They will code it if needs be.

Cant get more cost sensitive than that!

Keep going and you will get there!
