Headlamp rubber seal

Hi members, i am new to this forum, great to have all this info at hand.
I have a 2012 W216 CL 500 5.5…. And i love it.
I have an issue with the rubber seal surrounding the headlight unit. I have asked Mercedes for the part, they have replied that i need to buy the entire headlight unit. This seems like madness. I know i am not the only one with this issue. Can anyone please share whats options are available or were able to get their hands on the seal.

I would doubt that it would be available as a new, separate part now due to age.
I'd be looking for a second hand part.
