Headlamp washer/wiper 500SL

I'm trying to make the headlight wipers and washer for my '83 500SL work. I've checked the fuse - No. 2, but there's still no power in the wiring, so I guess it's something to do with the relay, which on the fuse box cover says terminal 86. Trouble is, I've no idea where it's located, and how would I test the relay?
Any help would be appreciated.
