My headlamps are looking at the ground 5feet in front of the car.

Xenons did their usual dance at switch on then dropped to their lowest position :confused:

I'm guessing it a senor gone OOS and giving an impossible value forcing the lights to go failsafe i.e. not to blind anyone!

Any suggestions of what else it might be?

I would undo the front and rear level sensor and swing the lever up and down to look for any change,if nothing happens then the control unit

Thanks Malcolm, I'm kinda hoping it's just the senor gone 'over centre' and giving an impossible value (I think we had a post on this before)

If my meeting finishes early enough I might drop into the dealers. I'm in Canterbury for a couple of days, so not sure what they are like here. I'd rather not have to drive the 160mls home with dodgy lights...

Shame that you were not home in Wiltshire as S-A-M could have put it on STAR

What you saying?? :confused:

S-A-M wouldn't come out to Kent? :shock::shock::rolleyes:;)

I'll have to take my chances with the locals, I'm sure they are quite friendly :lol:

I know this is no consolation and absolutely no help at all, but exactly the same thing has just happened on my Espace. :(:(

Xenons are great when they're working but when the system goes pear-shaped a spanner is not a lot of help, is it?

Never had any dealings with Vikings of Canterbury the main dealers, but there is an Indie called Class Cars at Wingham nr Canterbury, which has a very good reputation ;)

I waited until I got home as car was booked into my local dealer for diff seal replacement.

They discovered they had 'forgotten' to re-attach the sensor when they replaced the steering gaiter!!

All sorted now :)
