Now my new toy is actually running, took it for a drive and noticed hissing / vacuum type noise from headlight switch area unless height adjuster wheel is set to number 3. taken switch out, both vacuum hoses appear to be secure. only thing i can think of is leaking switch, anyone experience similar? the car is a w124 260e by the way . cheers!

Sounds like a similar problem I had sorted just last year. A new vacuum switch was about £35 inc VAT I think.
