I'll try again and post this here; it seems no one wants to answer or has the knowledge to answer on the "Technical Information and Support" forum.
My wife caught a rock, large enough to put a hole in the left headlight lens; 1992 500 SL. I ordered and received a Bosch replacement. It has the plastic snout on the rear where the headlight bulb goes in and twists tight. This lens seems to fit inside the larger structure for leveling headlights.
Having said all this, does anyone have a step by step procedure for replacing said lens??
