Took my car for an mot yesterday and it failed as the headlight levelling switch is inoperative. The garage took a quick look at this and said the switch needed replacing. Quoted £120. Just wondering if there was anything else I could do? IMG20210312082125.jpg

I wonder if it's just due to lack of use. Does repeated scrolling of the switch make any difference?
I don't think a tester has ever tested it on any of my cars

Well thats the main light switch for headlights is it not ? .Will it raise and lower the headlight beams then ?
Funny i had a fail on mine last year .The tester at the mot station as been doing my car for 10 years now . And never knew he had to pull the knob out and turn it to bring on the fogs lights . He had pulled the knob off . Soon fixed it ,, just pushed the knob back in to place . Looked to me as if he never looked at it before on other mots.
