Hi Guys suddenly started losing all the water from the washer reservoir , thought I had a leak in the tank , so removed that nothing found , then someone mentioned it may be leaking from the headlight washer jet, and sure enough it is, Question what is involved in replacing this Jet, is it stright forward, or does it mean striping down half the car to do it ??

you sure the pipes not come off. prone to freezing there in the cold weather and popping off
Thanks I will have a look if it ever stops raining, but it seemed to be leaking from around the jets .

Ok had chance to look at the washer jet (Headlight) seems to be dripping from where the piston moves in & out, Question can just this part be removed ? and is it just a case of fitting a new '0' ring ?? or is a service kit available ??

I've just found out that I have a similar issue probably caused by the extreme cold the other week.

Its on my 2004 SL500 and the water is dripping at the front left corner from somewhere just behind the headlight until the washer bottle is empty. Trouble is its hidden so I can't see from where.

Any tips welcome please on how I get in to see if it is indeed the washer pipe that's come off?

Don't want to start pulling the headlight out if there's an easier way.

Thanks chaps

Gently open the little flap where washer pops out , shine a torch and you will see where drip is from, Had mine done both sides, about £70.00 each for genuine Merc part, But makes hell of a difference with jets, can get them cheaper but i like to fit Merc parts where possible, Its a bumper off job i'm afraid , so chance to see if anything else needs doing at same time.
