Headlight washers not working W209 CLK

Hi guys, my headlight washers aren't working and just wondered what the cause might be?
When I press the button the engine bogs down temporarily but nothing actually happens. I would have thought that if it was a fuse the engine wouldn't bog down?? Any ideas?

Could there be a live wire, Earthing out somewhere?

Pump burned out very common and cheap for the motor from merc........

Well I've just been out to have another play and the jets move out fairly easily. Checked the fuse in position 63 which is a 5amp and its missing!! So I'm guessing you could be right about the live wire issue! It's booked in tomorrow to have the bottom hose on radiator replaced so will get him to maybe test and or change the motors?!

Blowing the fuse would be a good reason

But why do you think a fuse would constantly blow? I'm no auto electrician (just ****** anal about my Merc!!) lol

If the motor went short circuit the fuse would blow
