Heated Rear Window

Hi all, the heated rear rear window on my 2004 E 320 CDi works fine apart from the top 6 elements, which fail to heat up. Read in a previous post that this could be down to them being the radio aerial (that car had only 3-4 that didn't heat up and it was a 57 E 220). Is this the same problem, or do you think I have a break in the vertical bit?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you look carefully can you see the side vertical metal strip where the horizontal wires connect to them, , the radio wire are often much thinner, if you can you should be able to count the wires, going to the vertical strips
