Hello,

I wold like to upgrade non-leather seats to new leather seats in my '03 w203 coupe evo car. They come with heated pads inside but my car didn't have that option installed. I don't have any additional buttons for heated seats on the console (switch) and I'm not sure if the wiring is in place.

My question is how easy is to connect heated seats option in w203 sport coupe car from 2003 (pre-facelift)? Is my car already pre-wired? I don't even know how to check that... I quickly loked on detali.ru website and as far as I understand I would need:
- new switch on the console with additional two buttons - heated seats for passenger and driver
- cable harness
- and some connectors

Is that's all what I would need? And Can I check somehow if my car is already pre-wired?

Yes this can be done. I did it on an A class.

The parts are the switch panel (entire new one), loomplus heated pads. There is some debate about whether the leather seats come with them or not. I've yet to see proof of this.

Your car will almost certainly not be pre-wired for heated seats.

Heated Seats

Hi Gumis, I also looked at this route for my wifes 2002 Evo Panorama coupe with leather. The mercedes option is expensive to purchase and carry out. I have purchased a Waeco kit from Ebay and fitted the heating pads only last week. Interestingly on my wifes passenger seat only, was a flat clear loom with black circles on which I assume is the standard seat heater loom. I can only think that the factory did not have a Quartz leather seat base without a heater when the car was being built and fitted this one. Getting back to the Waeco system, fitting was time consuming but not difficult for someone with a sound mechanical knowledge. I am going to wire it using the Waeco switches (which are not to obtrusive) this week end and going to locate the swiches either side of the gear stick where the Auxilary heaters would be located. Will update you as to how it goes and how efficient they are once they are installed.
Paul.

If you're going to do this I'd recommend very strongly that you use MB switches. The non-standard switches will put people off at resale time
