Hello am looking for some info on my heater fan model w204 c250 2010. fan is working intermittently. i have read its probably the heater blower motor resistor. i have removed what i think is the part from under the dash pic 1 but have also found another part advertised as the heater fan blower resistor that seems a totally different part pic 2. could anyone tell me wether i have removed the correct part. and what does each piece control. thanks for any info.

Did you remove the part from the right side or the left..?
Please put up a picture of any numbers/letters you can see on the part you removed.

In that case, you have to replace like with like.
By the way, can you set the fan to run at different speed settings...
Is it intermittent at all settings or only at a particular setting..?

i cleaned the sensor before replacing it

Is there a sensor built in ?
Mine seems to fluctuate on some of the speed settings, all settings work but with some fluctuation in speed especially at the higher end.

I'm having the same problem with my c200 estate. Which part did you clean? And what did you use to clean it? Thanks
