My friend has a 1995 200 E and the small illumination bulb needs replacing behing the heater control switch. I reckon the circular switch just pulls off the shaft, and the bulb is exposed in the centre, but he reckons the switch is not coming away easily. Is this switch attached in some other way?  He doesn't want to damage the switch, naturally...

Heater Control Bulb

of yes, just pull it out, then u will see the bulb, but in some manual, it did mension that, to turn it to 9 o'clock position first.

For the one behind the control panel, u have to remove the face panel first, by removing the screw on the bottom of it. then u can access to the heater control, then removing the screw, so u can get the whole things out, so, unclip it, u could see the circuit board and access it.
