E320 CDi estate (yr 2000): the heater seems to funtion properly, gets hot and cold etc, but I feel that there is not enough air being blown through by the fan motor. It is vertainly working, and the speed increases as you trun the control knob, but the actual air passing is not all that great. Is there a filter that could be blocked? It also seems to take ages to clear a misty screen, even with everything turned to "screen" and maximum blower speed.

I also notice that the engine water temp seems a bit low - it's usually about 80 on the guage. Is this normal?

On another point altogether, I read in the press about Valeo radiators being suspect on these vehicles and should be changed due to water mixing with gearbox oil. How does one know if one has a Valeo radiator?
Thanks for your help. TG

Hi,
The air flow will due to a blocked pollen filter if you follow this link, though its for the w202 c class the procedure is almost exactly the same.
http://202tech.mkosonen.com/howto/blower.html
Additionally your 210 if fitted with climate control "may" have additional filters but i believe you will see these whilst following the above instructions.
Valeo radiator issue i don,t think your car is new enough to be concerned with this, but do seek reassurance from our other more experienced forum members.

That was a nice link Andy :D

Re the valeo all 211 cars up to 09-03 it does not apply to the 210 cars

Thanks for your help - I'll try a new filter which I'm sure needs changing. Good news on the valeo - I have enough problems without having to worry about that!
