Heater still warm when turned to cold?

The heater in my 1996 412D Sprinter seems to still blow warm air even when turned right to cold? Had a a bit of a look under the bonnet and all cables, pipes etc. seem to be ok, any ideas?

One word - "Monovalve" - do a search for duovalve too. Principle is the same.

When your heating continues to run hot when switched to cold it normally means that power has been lost to the heater flow valve (mono or duovalve ) as these default to full open when power is lost, check your fuses and the electrical connection to the valve.

These valves do seize up from time to time, they can with luck be freed up and made to work, some firms do a PX
