Has decided to stop giving me heating in the dead of winter
Could this be expensive
Or could this be a simple fuse?

Needs a diagnostic on STAR to be sure, might be thermostat or fuse but you might be hunting the thimble....
Welcome by the way

Hello and welcome Titokell, I have the same problem and have temporarily fixed it for the time being until I order a new one.
If you use a long sturdy screwdriver you can give the valve a tap, sometimes it will work. The valve is under the brake unit on the drivers side if you have a RHD
