Heavy Diesel Smell

Whilst I realise that there is an inherent odour normally from Diesel engined cars, my E320CDI ( DEC 2002), has very recently started to smell very heavily both inside and outside of the car. It has just had its first service, and I have just looked under the bonnet, and there is what looks like fuel all over the place. I am taking it to the dealers tomorrow, but would like an opinion from any memebers aswell.

There is a common leak from the early 320 CDI engine from the low pressure bleed plug, this is quick to fix with a new plug. The later CDI doesn't have this plug but I have seen a few leaking from the high pressure pump if this is the case you will probably be off the road a couple of days.. Ring it in as a breakdown on the 24 hour number as this entitles you to a hire car( don't drive into the dealer.)
