Hi all, been a voyeur for some time but after the recent events with the brake booster recall i thought id best sign up!
Anyone else had their car fail, taken away, told September at the earliest for parts, then out of the blue a call to say the car is now safe to drive amd ready to pick up? I have!

Yes I have, and it is not safe.
Had a near crash just a week ago.
Almost rear ended by a range rover!

Abs & Esp amber, then red warning dash lights flashing.
Fortunately only driving at 15mph.
Suddenly without warning Brakes came on, all four wheels locked, stopped dead!
Could have been multiple injuries!
Was told condemned brake booster, was now safe and effective!!
