Hi all,

Not long bought a 2003 S-320Cdi, so thought i would join the club. It was a bit of a shed when i first got it and am slowly dealing with detailing and niggly faults. I class myself as a reasonable home mechanic, but have an electronics background. Am frankly enjoying bringing the car back to its rightful glory, as imho its a lovely vehicle with incredibly good fuel consumption for such a big beast.

Just done a transmission service (box shuddering), and an engine oil and filter change. The car was a different vehicle straight away. Anyway, hi to all, hope you are keeping safe and maybe using your down time/furlough/lockdown to get in there and fix stuff.:)

Hi Steve, many thanks.

Yes, i should imagine it can be quite addictive.:geek:

Furloughed here, and am slowly climbing up the walls. Am so bored was just about to pull the Vacuum pumpy thing (I forget its correct designation) out in the boot. The boot release/close isn't working so well, so was going to investigate...but its just started raining and i have no shelter for a vehicle....bummer!:(

Ahh well, another day.

Many thanks, its getting there. Just got a couple of cheap 16" Alloys offa flea bay (yeah!, i know, not very adventurous size wise). Some G61 scratch remover and a cheap polishing kit for a drill, they are coming up really well. Got some £45 a side Fulda tyres coming from Italy. Cant believe how inexpensive the boots are in this size. They will do until i get back working again and throw some Conti's on.
