Useless any if comes on u just have enough time to speed dial recovery.
In good old days oil press guage provided more options if u knew the car.

Does this mean the light has blown, or the car does not have a oil ligth in the dash?

On many models, even going back to 2003, there is a reminder in the speedometer cluster when the oil level drops below the minimum level. It will ask you to add 1lt of oil when you next stop the car.
Maybe your oil level hasn't dropped so low as to activate this message?

If you were looking for an oil pressure gauge, modern Mercedes don't fit them (unless they are in some of the AMG GT/SLS variants I haven't seen)

Probably a good time to read your user manual.

So you need an oil level indicator on the dash and yoo think you don't have one - Is that correct.

Read the manual and see what it says. I would be surprised is there is no low oil level warning.

Check the level on the dipstick. If no dip stick get the factory dipstick (a measuring stick and not intended to kept in the engine).

cheers

I'm pretty sure there is no warning light and your car will only give you a dash warning message if it wants more oil,

Thanks for your time on this, not long had the car. It comes with a years warranty from Mercedes and I have taken out a 3 year service plan. Its just this is the first Mercedes I have had without the oil light showing when the ignition is on. So do I take it that if theres a problem it will show in the main centre display. It is a AMG Line with so I've been told a Renualt engine!!

Tony/OP is asking about a low oil pressure light ...not low level.

It seems that Merc frequently do not fit an oil pressure light. My ML350 doesn't have one

An old B-Class.

Nor does my SL or my wife's 2015 B Class. Seems a notice will come up in the display between the speedo & rev counter.
