- SL320/1998/R129
Hello,
I inherited a 1998 SL320 R129 a while ago and I've enjoyed having it, but sadly I need to sell it. I'm thinking of buying another Mercedes to replace it but I don't know what I'd like yet, so look forward to exploring these forums to see what will be a good option for me (I need something more traditional with full sized seats in the back).
I'm looking for some advice on valuing the car, I hope it's okay to ask? The car is a 1998, has panoramic hard top, and a lovely compliment of electrical options (memory seats, Becker sat nav / CD multichanger). Everything works (I understand from some posts that's not a given?). My father who owned it previously was meticulous in keeping everything right. All the little catches and locks work, engine (straight six) and gearbox running beautifully. It has 50k miles on it. Bodywork and exterior is in great condition bar the odd minor stone chip (filled) you would expect for the age, and the interior is very clean and tidy showing very little sign of wear.
I'm finding it very hard to value. There's a big difference in asking prices for similar cars across sales websites. Any advice or pointers would be much appreciated.
I'm based in Belfast.
Thanks
