Hello everyone,
Hope I'm doing this correctly as I have just joined. Call me Valerio and I'm just about to purchase my first Mercedes. Model E-Class, E220D, Avantgarde SE automatic 2019, small mileage and asking for guidance on if it's a good choice and model. Car is in pristine condition and of course I'm nervous as some people I read say the Mercedes is expensive to run, give problems, etc. I am In Ireland. Would really appreciate some feedback

It’s a lovely fuel efficient car , you will have no problems . You must have enough money to buy what is still an expensive car so I wouldn’t worry

Thank you all so much for the welcome greetings and apologies for not posting recently. This coming Wednesday I will be the proud owner of a 2019 E220d 4matic AMG line Mercedes. It looks great and drives even better, only has only 15,000 miles on the clock. I know that in my earlier post it was an Avantgarde I had almost purchased but I got word from a friend about the 4matic and let's just say it was "love at first sight" and with my 3 year old SUV trade in a deal was quickly struck. I'll put up some pics when I get settled into it and I ask once again if there's anything I should be wary of as the miles roll by?
Blobcat,
I have read your post and genuinely that post has nothing to do with me. I have never owned a Mercedes but have always secretly wanted one and now thankfully our affair can begin.

I knew I would like this car but now I'm just beginning to understand what it's like to drive a special motor and this is one of those. I'm very privileged and lucky to be able to buy this car and thank my lucky stars for that. However, i'm getting near seventy now and always promised myself that one day i'd buy a Mercedes. The work and hard slog plus the years have been put in and it has been a long time since i've had a special toy, I feel a lifetimes work and toil deserves this and am going to really enjoy it please God. I'm not a boy racer, just like to drive now and having been on this forum over the past week or so has given me great confidence going forward in dealing with niggles, etc, that may come up. Hopefully it won't happen anytime soon. This forum/club is a mine of information with lovely people who go out of their way to help others and is a real joy to read and now be part of. Thank you all so much. I'll put up some pics when my wife comes home, a week maybe, she's staying with a son and daughter in law and their newborn, helping them out for a while. Believe it or not I don't own an I Phone, just an ordinary mobile and it wouldn't do justice to the car the way I take photos. Again, thank you all and take care in the strange times we're all living in.

Fill it - usually a 20ltr tank - don't spill any on your clothes as it will show as white crystals when it dries

Thanks Blobcat, I added roughly 4 litres before I spotted your message and it has made the warning light go off. Will leave it at that and see how it goes. Never knew it could take as much as 20 ltr. Thanks again.
