Hi, and thanks for adding me.

I've joined this forum as I'm looking to purchase a 1.8 SLK very soon. I have a budget of around £8k and have seen a few very tidy cars adverised.

Probably a very standard question from a newbie (!!) sorry, but anything I shpuld specifically be looking out for apart from the obvious. Are the power hoods prone to any issues, expensive fix ??.

Looking at 2010-2013 models, want something immaculate with fsh, well doesn't everyone ?!!

You’ll not get an SLK with a V8 for £8k...

Almost everything in life is a compromise and the V6 is probably one of the best compromises you can make

Was always amazed at how relatively affordable the SLK55 looked to be on running costs, including road tax.

Was very tempted when I had to say adieu to the C63... but needed a bit more space.

But yes... I do like 6 pots!

Welcome you are about 7 months too late, you could have had my wife's immaculate 2010 SLK200K.
There are quite a lot of low spec SLK's about. Our must have list was heated seats, air scarf, park assist, leather, auto box, & full MBSH. There is an issue with the M271 engine at high milage, we have had 2 & no problems. I suggest you Google it.
