Hello everyone, i only joined the forum today. I'm based in Essex and I'm the owner of a a-class 2019 A200D and my passenger side SRS light has come on.

I've booked this in next week. I've taken out extended warranty however I don't think this will be covered.

My query is, has anyone else had this issue? I brought the car second-hand in 2020 and this will be the third time I'll be taking it in to the garage for the same issue.

I've not paid anything so far as this has been covered under the warranty.

Anyone got any idea on how much this would cost to fix?

If it’s gone back 3 times for the same issue, then I’d be arguing that it’s not been fixed previously and they need to rectify it correctly this time around.

Hi Blobcat, trust me I'll be making that point next week as I'm pretty sure the last time it went in, the lady told me it's a known issue. However, i don't have anything to prove I was told this, except the fact that this is the 3rd time in 2 years I'm taking it in.

Welcome. As @Blobcat says, if they’ve failed to correct this before, then it’s up to them to do it at their expense regardless of what your current warranty says. Don’t stand any nonsense from them and insist on your rights. Creating a bit of a fuss in a showroom with other customers around sometimes helps!
