Hi, first post and first Mercedes so have patience please

I recently bought a cdi 220 coupe and purchased a set of alloys (Katana). They fit on the back ring on hub (approx 10mm deep) no problem, but the front the ring (grease cap) is approx 25mm deep and the wheels need to be re-bored deeper!! Is this the same on all Mercedes models or just the coupe?? Even the alloy shop didn't know this??

Help please :(

Hi Simon, If you have not bought wheels made for MB with the ET somewhere near and with wheels that are not hub centric, then you will have problems and you will never balnce them.

MB wheels fit onto the hub, and the bolts purely hold them on, I do not think that you can use the ones that you have bought

Me again, I bought the new ones from Rochford Tyres on the internet (have used them before and always been a great deal). They came up as specific for the Coupe when the details were input so very suprised (as are they) that they don't fit the front??? Awaiting e mail for resolution tommorow (I hope!!)
