Hi i am trying to test how much there is drawing from the car battery when the car is off. i belive i can do this using a multimeter, i have the leads and meter set to 10 AMP, and want to just hook the meter up somehow?? and pull fuses until the reading drops..

Is this possible? how do i connect meter up to car..any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks, steve.

The meter must be selecting Amps as you have done, a digital meter can go either way around. just take off any battery connector and take one lead of the meter to the battery and the other to the cable clamp

Make sure the the leads in the meter are in the correct holes as they have special sockets for amps

Also make sure if you're measuring up to 10 amps that you have probes and leads that can pass 10 amps. Otherwise you'll have a very pretty little fire.
