For about a week i have heard clicking behind my dash. It sounded like a relay constantly switchng on and off. My auto electrician figured it was the climate control unit behind the dash.

Anyway it continued to click after it was disconnected and finally went up in smoke when i was on the motorway ( literally ). I asume the relay eventually got stuck and burnt out.

The climate control / heater now doesn't work at all and as a by product the radiator fan is constantly on. I notice that the interior heating system shares the same fuse (which hadn't blown) but can't see why the system wuld have caused the engine fan to be constantly turned on.

Can anyone help? Any advice would be good.

Thanks

Tim

update

Just an update on this probelm. I think it migh have been the actual control unit o the Facia that blew. The electrical smell does appear to be from there although i am having difficulties removing it. I can see how the plastic cover should come away but it just doesn't seem to want to come off.

Any ideas how to remove the heater control unit fom the facia?

Thanks

Tim
