Hi all,
I drive an 03 reg E500 which I bought as a Mercedes Benz approved used car 6 months ago from a main dealer. There are some issues with the car which even though it’s been back at the dealers 6 times in 6 months are seemingly unfixable:confused:. The first is an error message I get approx 3-4 a month at random intervals ""Display faulty Visit Workshop". The second error has happened 3 times since I have had the car. I drive the car for 2 to 3 miles, park and turn the engine of. When I return to the car 5 minutes later to restart, turning the key elicits no reaction at all from the car – it’s just dead. The car stays like that for 10 minutes, will then start happily and show ESP defective! Visit workshop!“ on the display. Drive off and it's fine. Both faults do not register on the diagnostic devices used by Mercedes and can not easily be reproduced. I have been keeping a photgraphic record of the error messages. Also I set the cars mirrors to recline when I lock the car. Sometimes they recline, other times they don’t. No user user input required. Mercedes have now changed the central gateway. That was 4 weeks ago. My last "Display faulty Visit Workshop" was about 45 min ago.:mad::mad: Anyone else encounter similar probs? Have any ideas? The car is back at the dealers on Monday for 1 week.
