Help! electrics won't work.. I'm jinxed or what???

Went to open my car yesterday with my remote key but car won't unlock. came back home & got my other set of key's but no luck. walked all round the car then it suddenley worked. I've worked out that the infrared receivers are on the door handles & the passanger side isnt working.

Fair enough.. I sat in my car & realised that when the door opened only the rear interior light was activated & not the front ones. I can manually turn the front ones but not set it to automatically with the car door.

Then I thought lets try other functiones. Pressed the sunroof button & no responce at all like as if the car's not even on. No clicks, no budge.. no nothing..

I've already been stressed with the front windows not working for a good 4 months (though the driver window started working again since last week)

Would all this be relaled? Could it be the fuses?? Would it be caused by the rain & storm? I need help!!! please:???: :???: :???:

When I had this problem I disconnected the battery, then reset the windows and sunroof using the infra red, incidentally I think there is onlyan infra red sensor on the drivers door.

are you sure the infrared receivers are in the door handles ? on my C220 (1995 model) they are very definetly in the interior Rear View Mirror.

On the 202 there's only infra red on the driver's door

I can only open the door if I point the remote to the driver door infra red receiver from within 2-3 metres. I used tobe able to open the car from anywhere before just by pointing @ the car (within range of course).

Are the door mirrors heated too? Because I also realised the driver side mirros goes clear after driving & passanger side is still misty. You think the door loom could've disconnected as nothing on the passanger door is working (central locking still works though).

Where can I check connections & wires?
