Hi,
I'm new to both this group and to owning a Mercedes.
Just over a year ago I bought a W reg (2000) C180 automatic estate (W202 I think, from the number on the plate under the windscreen on the passenger's side). It's been a great car so far and is a joy to drive.
Recently my wife got a W reg Hyundai Coupe also an automatic. Since driving it I've become aware that my accelerator moves quite a bit before the car starts moving. It feels around 30mm of travel before anything changes. Is this normal ?
I've never had an automatic before so I'm not sure ?
It may have always been there, and I'm only now noticing it after driving the Hyundai whose accelerator is very touchy.
If the car had been a carburator engine I'd have been looking to adjust up the accelerator cable. Don't think you can do that on an ECU can you ?
Everything else seems fine
