Help-Im Desperate!

I have a 1996 (P) C280 Elegance, and find having folding mirrors nowaday a must. Does anyone out there know if I can adapt/alter my fixed door mirrors to be either manually able to be folded in or even better, is there a conversion kit to make them electrically folding? I know this was a factory option on this model. How difficult would this be to do, if at all possible. Thanks in advance :lol:

All mirrors manually fold-in. Just pull them in. The electronic ones don't fold that much anyway.

You are wrong Mr Arnie have a look at a 51 plate c220 cdi the mirrors fold right in
And they are electrically operated don?t think you can get replacement electric mirrors to fit your car that will turn in towards the side windows

This is a common mod nowadays by useing w210 mirrors that are electric folding and with added jazz blinking as well

Dont be shy just push them, they will fold in. It is a legal requirement in the vehicle construction regulations that all mirrors fold in. I had to push very hard on my 1990 300te mirrors to make them fold and then realised why the part that joined the door was a rubber flexiable join rather than plastic. Believe us they will fold just try harder!
