I have an M reg. E220 that has been generally trouble free, but over the weekend the lighting for the instrument panel and all dashboard switches / electric window switches in centre console, has failed.
I have checked the relevant fuses under the bonnet and the relays but can't see any problems there.
Wondered if anyone else had encountered a similar problem?

Any advice gratefully received

I think that you will find a little red fuse on the rear of the instrument cluster

Instrument cluster - light failure

All - thanks for the input. Will take a closer look at the light adjuster and also the fuse at rear.

Problem solved

Thanks all

I had already tried twisting the dimmer back and forth with no effect, but more vigorous movement back and forth did the trick and the lights flickered back on. Will now give the switch a liberal dose of circuit cleaner.
