Help locating fuel sender in '85 380sl

I have what I suspect is a sticky fuel sender unit in my 1985 380sl. I've popped te rear deck and looking in the truck and searched the internet for the access location to the sender. Can anyone please help point me in the right direction --

Don't know what you mean by fuel sender, what is the problem

The unit in the gas tank that sends fuel level information to the fuel gauge.
Mine is not working and I need to know how to locate access to it in my 380 sl.

Thanks for the help - After reviewing the drawing I found that on the SL there is a plastic cap located under the soft top in the storage compactment that covers the fuel sender. Now I'm on a quest for a socket large enough to get it out.

MB fuel sender - a 1 7/8 socket works on the 42 mm

I found that on the larger sizes, if you can't find a 42mm metric - a 1 7/8 works fine.
