Help me find an SL (W107) please?

Hello, I'm new here and have been scouring the internet trying to find the SL of my dreams but to no avail

My perfect car would have to have air-con, preferably 6-cylinder, gold is my favourite colour but the light blue and the red ones are very nice too. Rear seats a must-have too, as are the classic spoked alloy wheels.

Can anyone help at all? Or am I being too fussy

theres plenty on ebay......my advice is dont look at them first...pay by paypal then send a transporter for it if you go and look ,you wont buy one because they are always riddled with faults after you have paid and transporter drops it off for you,you then have a diffrent outlook on it eg as it comes off transporter you think it needs front wings rear wings valences new chrome and engine and gearbox rebuild,i.ll have to do that and because you own it you have a diffrent outlook,ive bought my last 5 cars off ebay that way, even from california, i dont sell them i just collect them, i viewed 6 first but wouldnt buy them cos they wern,t mint allways be prepared to spent £5000 on them ive bought my current 380sl c2oo elonor lookalike mustang....mondeo,astra that way

I have just fixed one for my local garage, its nice having a garden full of SL's. this one is a 280 and just had a pair of front wings, They had messed up the injection a bit to the point that it would no longer run. Just fixed it, and took it for a test drive and it ran well for a 20-25 year old car with 145k on the clock. sitting in the car and thinking about how it compairs to the 129, looking at the inside you would need to buy one in good condition as there is no way that you could fix the door panels if they were damaged for instance, on this one a lot of little plastic covers missing. As these cars get older the better condition they need to be in.

The best one is for sale in Cornwall with only 4k on the clock.

Thanks for the advice guys, I still haven't found anything I'd like yet though.

I like the transporter idea, it means I can spread my net much further.

I'm not sure I'd want a 4k car, It'd still need running in
It does sound like that part of the country may have more than it's fair share of W107's though.

I've been right through Ebay, Autotrader, Exchange and Mart and everything else that Google has thrown at me, plus the local papers, and the only one that has come close has been an SL500, but I don't want that much power - I'm trying to slow down and lower my blood pressure!

I'm now considering the possibility of retro-fitting air-con instead.

have you tried mercseller.com? or good old auto trader? Itake it it's the 107 you're after? SL's seem ten-a-penny here in London. You try finding a decent 116 though!
