Help- ML270 cdi - seals on gas cooler connector

Hi, AFter expierencing limp mode on the 270cdi, I replace the MAF(thanks to info on this forum) which solved the problem but 2 days later there was air sound coming from the gas cooler pipe which connects to the EGR (or gas mixer chamber). After searching on the net I foung a diagram which show a seal on the intermediat pipe connector. I don't see any threads and not sure to split the pipe from the EGR. IS this a push fit which needs special tools or could a beginer DIY replace the seal.

Hi is not the best picture to ilustrate your problem but is this the pipe that you talk about see pic + circled item if so yes you could remove the egr valve to replace what you call the intermediat pipe connector
